Jack Weber, Ph.D., RYT
Jack is a passionate and experienced teacher known for clarity of instruction, creative sequencing and transitions, and dedication to honoring the unique abilities and limitations of each student.
Following several years of demanding daily practice of Ashtanga and vinyasa yoga, Jack completed over 500 hours of rigorous teacher training with internationally-acclaimed yoga and meditation masters, and received licensure as an Anusara ™ yoga teacher and certification as a hatha yoga teacher registered with the Yoga Alliance ™ . For the past fifteen years, Jack has taught popular yoga classes and periodic workshops at ACAC MindBody in Charlottesville, Virginia
Jack brings over thirty years of experience teaching courses in personal and organizational transformation to graduate students at the University of Virginia and Dartmouth College to the design of his yoga classes. In addition, Jack’s teaching skills have been honed by his award-winning workshops in executive leadership and cultural change with his wife, Dr. Carol Weber, at the International Management Development Institute (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland, and with some 10,000 senior executives in over 40 countries.
With the freedom offered by his recent appointment as professor emeritus at the University of Virginia, Jack has been actively learning t'ai chi & qigong, deepening his study of various hatha yoga traditions, and focusing his creative energies and love for teaching on developing SloFloYoga. Depending on his travel schedule, Jack gratefully offers yoga classes & workshops in Charlottesville, Virginia in the spring & fall, Highland Beach, Florida in the winter, and San Francisco during the summer months.
